what we offer:
When a donor makes a payment to acknowledge or 'offset CO2 emissions', the c change trust will establish a network of projects and systems that will eventually reduce and/ or absorb a portion of those emissions as well as fund our other projects.
An immediate weight for weight 'elimination' of your CO2 is not possible and is not what we guarantee, instead;
We will fund U.K. based sustainable forestry projects on the donor's behalf that will:
Create new native forests and community woodlands to help offset this CO2. And provide green spaces for education.

We will make investments and partnerships in the U.K. with renewable energy projects and providers to:

Directly reduce CO2 emissions otherwise produced by fossil fuel using renewable energy.
For renewable carbon sequestration purposes we also invest your money into Hemp planting in the UK in place of forestry. Hemp more efficiently sequesters atmospheric CO2 into 'biomass'. This in turn will be made into either biomass for burning in power stations, insulation, animal bedding or building blocks for the Zero carbon homes of the future.
For our education spending we will invest donations into British schools and community groups to create:
A 3 pronged approach to 'carbon busting' education projects for young people.
Any long-term reduction of CO2 must ultimately rely on education.

we are not:
Selling trees to you, nor do you own the trees or the hemp that we plant for you, or the land on which any of trees or hemp are planted, though you are free to visit any woodlands we do plant and enjoy the new environment.
We do not make you carbon neutral.
Through the full provision of our charitable objectives, your 'carbon emissions acknowledgement' should go even further in terms of useful and engaging benefit to society and our shared goal of long term carbon reductions than through the simple buying of a carbon credit.

You as the 'donor' do not receive a tradable commodity title to any 'emissions reductions' achieved by any of the c-change trust's emission reduction projects.
the c-change trust planted trees or hemp products may not be used for the purposes of selling 'carbon credits'.
You are making a no-strings donation on the understanding that by donating to the c-change trust you are helping to build community woodlands and green spaces for public benefit in the U.K.
Our primary goal is to support long term reductions of CO2 emissions

donations:
We arrive at your recommended donation based upon a measurement of your 'carbon footprint.'
The figures we use for this purpose are worked out using the industry standard benchmark CO2 emissions framework calculations described by DEFRA.
The c-change trust takes no responsibility for any errors and omissions made by donors when entering their data into the c-change trust web calculators. See "Refunds", below, for details of our erroneous donation returns policy.

what you will receive:
As a donor, you will receive an acknowledgement/ certificate by e-mail confirming that your donation has been banked and that the trees or portions thereof which you pledged towards the offset of your carbon emissions will be delivered on your behalf as described above.
Any trees or hemp used to acknowledge your donation will be planted as soon as possible weather and season allowing and in any case within 2 years of your donation being received. Hemp is grown annually.
You will also be sent a pdf along with your receipt containing information and links to our selected partner organisations - they can help you reduce your emissions further.
